In light of the date I figured I would share this...
On September 29, 2001 I adopted a 6 week old Shar-Pei puppy from the animal shelter. I quickly noticed she had a sweet and gentle way about her and I aptly named her Lady. She never once failed to live up to her name although I had tons of nicknames for her. She was a loyal pet who loved everybody, but to me she was so much more than a pet as I always referred to her as my four-legged daughter. Over the years she brought me so much joy and whenever life got rough she was always my teddy bear. At the beginning of this year she became sick with pancreatitis and refused to eat or drink at all. She lost so much weight in a very short period of time that she looked skeletal. Despite the efforts of the vet, Lady passed away on January 26, 2011. She would have been 10 years old today. I still love her and miss her so much. RIP babydoll.
No, I'm not drunk in this picture, I had just woken up. I know it's a terrible picture of me, but it's one of my favorite pictures of her.
